Booking Blues Extra

Booking Blues Extra

What to expect when enquiring
We aim to respond to telephone and e-mail enquiries within 24 hours. Usually we can confirm availability within 48 hours. We are usually booked by pubs, clubs, festival organisers and private individuals. We welcome enquiries by agents.

How much does it cost to book Blues Extra?
Fees vary depending on how long we play, how far we have to travel, and any special requirements you may have. We try and be flexible and accommodating.

Can we get you to play for free?
We are happy to play for free to help raise money for charity events, but that is on the understanding that it is a cause that we support!

Technical issues
For most indoor gigs we provide a compact 1,000 watt PA system, with a desk, front of house speakers and foldback monitors. All vocals and instruments go through the PA, and stage and venue volumes are kept at appropriate levels. For larger festival events, it is normally the case that the PA system is provided by the event organisers. If we are expected to provide a PA system for a large event, specifications, hire, operation, payment and insurance needs to be agreed with us by event organisers in advance.

Marketing and publicity
We will publish details of gigs on this website, our Facebook page and on Twitter. We have a large following on social media and we will ensure that we engage with it several times in advance of gigs, with reminders and any items of interest about the venue. We also provide press releases to local media, and although we cannot guarantee a mention, we always follow up any releases made. In return we ask that venues publicise us on their social media sites, and we will provide posters and media packs for your use.

On the day
The band will arrive at least an hour before the the time appointed for the performance. We will unload, set up and test equipment, and will run a sound test. Sets will begin at the appointed time, and we will finish at the appointed time. We will agree where the band sets up as part of the booking process, and our minimal requirements are that the area is safe (i.e. not in the path of a Fire Exit, kitchen or toilets!) and that there are sufficient power outlets to safely run our equipment. After the gig, we load up as soon as we safely can and check to ensure that the stage area is clear and safe as we leave.

Payment
Cash immediately after the performance. Any other arrangement must be agreed before bookings are confirmed.
